If you do not see the fabric you would like, please contact AKD about your preferences. There are thousands of fabrics available that we can access. Use of a special order fabric is considered a custom order and is subject to special pricing.

LIGHTWEIGHT TRICOT

AKD's standard uniform fabric is lightweight or heavyweight tricot, which is smooth, sturdy, durable, with a four-way stretch. Tricot is a blend of cotton, wool, silk, rayon, nylon, or any combination of fibers. The lightweight tricot is recommended for garments that require motion or should be more breathable. Lightweight tricot is also usually less expensive and offers a wider variety of colors and patterns. *color shade will vary depending on computer monitor and/or dye lots.

HEAVYWEIGHT

Heavyweight tricot offers more support and durability than lightweight, but still has a great four-way stretch. Heavyweights are highly recommended to cover panty and bra lines, and to withstand multiple years of wear. *color shade will vary depending on computer monitor and/or dye lots.

Metallic fabrics are beautiful and offer a shimmer and glow to your uniform. Lines shown here in fabric swatches are not visible on your garment, as these photos are taken at a very close range.
